Faculty Opportunity at MGH –
Harvard Medical School

The Center for Advanced Medical Imaging Science in the Department of Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Harvard Medical School (HMS) in Boston, Massachusetts has an opening for highly qualified individuals at the faculty level to work on research related to quantitative brain imaging with dynamic PET/CT/MRI. The Department of Radiology at MGH is equipped with the first mobile brain PET/CT, the first brain PET/MRI, and the first whole-body PET/MRI in the USA. It is also equipped with a substantial computing facility for parametric image analysis, tomographic reconstruction, Monte Carlo simulation, and other computationally intensive research applications.

Applicants must have obtained a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Neuroimaging, Neuroscience or related fields and have at least 10 years research experience with emphasis on translation of basic sciences to medical applications, including use of in vitro systems and relevant animal models. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong background in neuroscience, molecular imaging, cellular and molecular brain biology and biochemistry. Candidates are also expected to have strong track record of publication in high impact journals; demonstrate the ability to establish independent funding as well as to teach and train students and fellows.
