Corinna Bauer

Dr. Corinna Bauer is the director of the Lab for Neuroimaging and Vision Science and an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital with a secondary appointment as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Massachusetts Eye and Ear.

The Bauer lab focuses on the application of multimodal MRI techniques (including relaxometry, diffusion methods, fMRI, and morphometry) to study the long-term neurodevelopmental consequences of early brain injury, specifically targeting white matter, neural networks, and the thalamus. Her team is working towards understanding the relationship between brain structure, function, and myelination with performance on assessments of higher-order visual processing in individuals living with cerebral visual impairment (CVI) and related neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative conditions.
