SAVE THE DATES – BRAIN Initiative Workshops for Human Imaging Technologies

The BRAIN Initiative will be holding two virtual workshops in February and March to review and assess current projects and future opportunities to develop and disseminate technologies for non-invasive imaging of human brain function.  Presentations will be posted prior to each workshop, and the discussion will be broadcast to the public with live Q&A sessions.  A Request for Information released on January 15th seeks public feedback (NOT-NS-21-024).  Ideas can be submitted here by April 1, 2021.

Several Gordon Center Faculty members will be contributing to the workshop through presentations, moderation, and panel discussions.

February 18-19, 2021: BRAIN Initiative: Dissemination of Non-Invasive Imaging Technologies

This workshop will feature progress updates from BRAIN Initiative project awardees and presentations from industry representatives on potential paths for follow-on dissemination and commercialization.  Discussion panels with technologists and neuroscience end-users will address potential gaps and critical issues within the context of these projects.

March 9-11, 2021: BRAIN Initiative: Transformative Non-Invasive Imaging Technologies

This workshop will bring together neuroscientists, tool developers/engineers, and industry partners to identify new non-invasive functional imaging tools that could be realized in the next five to ten years.  Discussion topics will include how to maximize potential impact of these technologies on human neuroscience research, and identification of possible pathways for their dissemination.
