Raiyan Zaman receives Anne Klibanski Visiting Scholars Award

Raiyan Zaman

The MGH Center for Faculty Development presented Dr. Raiyan T. Zaman of the MGH Gordon Center with the Anne Klibanski Visiting Scholars Award. This award provides an opportunity to serve as “virtual” Visiting Professor to give Grand Rounds at a national or international institution, organized by the Center for Faculty Development. The award is presented to women faculty clinicians, educators, researchers and postdoctoral fellows who have demonstrated exceptional promise as leaders in their field and whose careers would benefit from both national and international mentoring and networking opportunities.

Dr. Zaman has proposed presentations on “Atherosclerotic Plaque Detection with a Fluorescence/Radionuclide Intravascular Imaging System for 18F-FDG and 6-NBDG” and “Harnessing Radioluminescence and Sound to Reveal Molecular Pathology of Atherosclerotic Plaques”

With COVID-19-related travel bans, most grand rounds and visiting professorships around the country are being conducted virtually. This provides an opportunity to promote the participation of women in visiting professorships by removing travel constraints.
