Dr. Ruth Lim elected chair of the American Board of Nuclear Medicine

Dr. Ruth Lim

Ruth Lim, MD, of the Divisions of Pediatric Radiology and Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging and Medical Director of the Gordon Center for Medical Imaging, has been elected chair of the American Board of Nuclear Medicine (ABNM) after successfully completing terms as vice-chair and secretary-treasurer. The ABNM advances the health of the public through the establishment and maintenance of standards of training and education, and the qualification of physicians rendering nuclear medicine services. Lim’s near-term goals for the ABNM include technology upgrades to improve design and delivery of examinations, implementing new initiatives for strengthening and diversifying the nuclear medicine workforce and updating examination blueprints to reflecting the growing role of radionuclide therapy and theranostics.
