Congratulations to Vasily Belov, PhD who won the First Place Poster of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) for his “PET Study of Burn-Induced Tissue-Specific Insulin Resistance.”
His work demonstrated the primary role of impaired glucose uptake in skeletal muscles, specifically in the development of systemic insulin resistance after burn injury in a mouse model.
