Dr. Samir introduced elastography, a medical imaging technique that maps the elastic properties of tissue, in a presentation titled “Ultrasound Elastography: A New Modality with Many Opportunities”. Dr. Samir associated elastography with the current trend toward precision medicine and non-invasive biomarkers. He concluded his talk by highlighting the opportunities for the use and improvement of elastography in a wide range of disease processes.

Dr. Anthony Samir is an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School, and a Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologist at the Massachusetts General Hospital, where he serves as the Associate Director of the Division of Clinical Ultrasound.
